60 mins Side Body Length & Twists – Parivrtta Janu Sirsasana

This mixed-level Iyengar yoga class focuses on lateral extension of the side body and expansion of the rib cage, preparing the spine for deeper twisting actions.

Through standing poses such as Parighasana, Trikonasana and Utthita Parsvakonasana, students develop steadiness in the legs while learning to lift and widen the ribs away from the pelvis. This theme continues in seated poses including Upavistha Konasana and Janu Sirsasana, gradually leading to the peak pose Parivrtta Janu Sirsasana.
